Hina Doll Festival Sushi Roll Recipes

The Hina Doll Festival is just around the corner. On March 3, we celebrate girls, wishing them health, safety, and a long life with Hina Doll during the festival. Decorate and celebrate the holiday with Hina Dolls and cute flower sushi rolls on Girls' Day!


Plum Flower Sushi Roll

Ingredients:
3/5 cup cooked white rice
1/8 cup red ginger
(You can use the hum instead of red ginger)
1 1/5 cup cooked white rice
4 tbsp vinegar
1 sheet of dried seaweed
5 pieces of seaweed (divide 1 sheet of dried seaweed into 4 pieces)
1 stick cheese

Directions:
1. Mix the cooked white rice with vinegar.
2. Mix the 3/5 cup cooked white rice with red ginger.
3. Make the petals.
4. Roll the red rice with 1/4 seaweed.
5. Make five petals.
6. Roll the stick cheese with 1/4 seaweed.
7. Hold up the sushi roller with your left hand, and put a petal in the middle in the sushi roller.
8. Put two more petals to the sides of the middle petal.
9. Lay a cheese stick on the center.
10. Cover the top with two more petals and roll it up.
11. Lay out the sushi roller and put a sheet of dried seaweed on it.
12. Spread 1 cup of white rice. Leave some space on the sides of seaweed when you spread rice.
13. Place the flower that was made on step 8.
14. Put the edge of the sushi roller closer toward the center.
15. Hold the bottom of the roller with your left hand in order to cover the top with the left of white rice with your right hand and roll it up.
16. Slice the sushi roll into eight pieces.

Rose Roll

Ingredients:
1 1/5 cup cooked white rice
2 tbsp Sushi vinegar
1/8 cup red ginger
1 egg (beaten)
1 sheet of dried seaweed
1/4 (divide 1 sheet of dried seaweed into 4 pieces) seaweed
1/6 (divide 1 sheet of dried seaweed into 6 pieces) seaweed
A bunch of spinach (boiled)

Directions:
1. Mix the vinegar with 1 cup cooked rice.
2. Put the red ginger on a paper towel to make it dry.
3. Put one pinch salt onto the egg and make two sheets of thinly cooked egg.
4. Lay out the sushi roller and put a sheet of thinly cooked egg on it.
5. Put 1/10 cooked rice and sprinkle 1/2 ginger on the egg.
6. Lay out the other sheet of cooked egg on this and put 1/10 cooked rice and sprinkle what’s left of the ginger on the egg again, and roll it up (this is the flower).
7. Lay out the sushi roller and put the seaweed on it.
8. Spread the rice. Leave about 1/2 inch on the sides of seaweed when you spread rice.
9. Make three-line dips in order to lay seaweed and the boiled spinach in the dips (this is going to be the leaves).
10. Put the flower at the center of the spread rice. And roll it up!
11. Slice the sushi roll into seven pieces.
