Chilled Strawberry Bisque Soup

By Robert Finley

While celebrating our anniversary aboard a Carnival cruise ship a few years back, my wife and I were treated to a unique dish during one of the ship's elaborate dinners ? chilled strawberry bisque soup. This may seem unusual to some, but it is a sweet soup that packs lots of flavor, is incredibly simple to make, and is sure to please. Here are the specifics, courtesy of Recipezaar.com:

Strawberry Bisque
(Serves 4-6, 2 cups/serving)

Ingredients:
2 cups frozen strawberries
1 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
fresh mint (for flavor and garnish)

Directions:
1. Puree strawberries, milk, cream and sour cream in blender or food processor until smooth.
2. Stir in sugar.
3. Chill 8 hours or overnight in refrigerator before serving.

Enjoy!
