I am introducing a few Japanese phrases that you can use with your child from the time he/she gets up in the morning until your little one goes to bed. Speaking Japanese with your child at home is fun, and makes it easier to remember. Enjoy Japanese life with family and friends!

・週末はなにするの? (Shuumatsu wa nani suru no?)
What are you going to do on the weekend?
・週末、どこにいきたい?(Shuumatsu, doko ni ikitai?)
Where do you want to go on the weekend?
・どうやって、いくの? (Dou yatte iku no?)
How do you get there?
・車で (Kuruma de) / By car.
・電車で (Densha de) / By train.
・飛行機で (Hikouki de) / By airplane.
・フェリーで (Ferry de) / By ferry.
・何泊する予定?(Nanpaku suru yotei?) / How many nights are you planning to stay?
・一泊二日(Ippaku futsuka) / Just overnight.
二泊三日(Nihaku Mikka) / Three days and two nights.
三泊四日 (Sanpaku yokka) / Four days and three nights.
四泊五日(Yonhaku itsuka) / Five days and six nights.
一週間 (Isshuukan) / One week.
二週間 (Nishuukan) /Two weeks.
一ヶ月 (Ikkagetsu) / One month.
・写真をたくさんとってね!(Shashin takusan totte ne!) / Take a lot of pictures!
