Raising your child using Japanese #2

This is one good way to practice a second language if you are in the child rearing years. I am introducing a few Japanese phrases that you can use with your child from the time he gets up to the time till your little one goes to bed. Speaking Japanese with your child at home, makes it fun and easier to remember. Enjoy Japanese life with family and friends!

・おかえり (Okaeri) / Welcome home.
・今日は学校どうだった? (Kyou wa gakko doudatta?) / How was school today?
・今日は楽しかった? (Kyou wa tanoshikatta?) / Did you have fun today?
・手を洗いなさい。 (Te wo arianasai.) / Wash your hands.
・おやつを食べましょう。 (Oyatsu wo tabemasyo.) / Let's have a snack.
・宿題やりなさい。(Syukudai yacchainasai.) / Do your homework.
・宿題を4時までに終わらせなさい。 (Shukudai wo 4 ji madeni owarasenasai.) /
You should finish your homework by four.
・部屋を片付けなさい。(Heya wo katadukenasai.) Clean up your room.
・夕飯何食べたい?(Yuhan nani tabetai?) / What do you want to eat for dinner?
・夕飯の時間よ。 (Yuuhan no jikan yo.) / Dinner is ready.
・お腹いっぱいになった?(Onaka ippai ni natta?) / Are you full?
・お風呂に入りなさい。(Ofuro ni hairinasai.) / Take a bath.
・寝る時間よ。 (Neru jikann yo.) / It's time to go to bed.
・お休みなさい。 (Oyasuminasai.) / Good night.
