Acciuga Cafe & Dining

By Nao H. Kauffman
Chief Editor

Right outside the main gate, a new cafe and dining bar opened on Oct 8. From great selections of appetizers to casual Japanese-Italian foods, Acciuga (meaning anchovies) was started by the ambitious entrepreneur and owner, Mr. Shibata and his co-worker, Mr. Mukade. The owner used to own his snowboard shop and learned about sales and marketing. Then, after being in the restaurant business for about 6 years, he found Misawa an economical city to have his new start. They both are willing to improve and serve better. Acciuga is open daily except Tuesday (subject to change depending on purchase of stock.) Currently, they also serve selected wine mostly from Europe. The menu varies daily but offers many choices of entree for 700-900 yen. You can additionally choose A set for 90 yen, B set for 190 yen, or C set for 290 yen to have soup, salad, drink or dessert. You may also alter pasta serving size for additional prices. You can enjoy the ambience in the good neighborhood restaurant. Feel free to stop by!
